Sweet Tree's Story
"I started Sweet Tree in August of 2020. We were going to a Tennessee game, I had a basic tee on, and I wanted an accessory that finished the outfit. So I sat down at my kitchen table and made one."
Lauryn Whitman made the first pair at her kitchen table in Oak Ridge, the year her first child was born. Orange and white. Clean team colors that pulled the look together — something to wear with a basic tee out to dinner after the game. Game day shops picked them up, and Sweet Tree's been a team-color line ever since.
What makes Sweet Tree different from other clay jewelry isn't the shape — it's the pairing. Every piece gets a stud or hardware accent that takes the clay from basic-tee earring to dinner-out earring. Each pair weighs less than an ounce — no heavy ears at the end of the night. And the University of Tennessee collection is officially licensed — 17% of every UT sale supports the school.
"Let's go. Have heart. Have drive." — Lauryn
